1. Scope
This policy applies to the Mobility Vision 2040 website operated by SMİ.
Detailed information on the processing of personal data under Law No. 6698 is provided in the Privacy Notice (KVKK); this policy complements that notice.
2. Information We Collect
Only the following information is collected on this website:
- Information you enter yourself in the registration request form: full name, company or institution, job title, e-mail address, phone number and any note you add.
- Technical information recorded automatically when you submit the form: IP address, browser information and the submission date. These records are kept to prevent misuse and automated submissions.
- Information you send us directly by e-mail or phone.
If you are visiting the site only to browse, you do not need to create a record or provide any personal information.
No analytics infrastructure for profiling, ad targeting or behavioural tracking is used on this website.
3. Cookies
The site uses only strictly necessary technical cookies required for the service to function, together with a preference cookie that remembers your language choice.
- Strictly necessary cookies: keep the session and form submission secure across pages.
- Preference cookie: remembers the language you selected (Turkish or English) for your next visit.
No third-party marketing, advertising or tracking cookies are used, and cookie data is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
The embedded Google Maps map on the Contact page may use cookies set by Google. If you prefer not to load this map, you can avoid visiting that page or use your browser's third-party cookie blocking setting.
You may delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, some parts of the site may not work as expected.
4. How We Use the Information
The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
- Evaluating your request to attend and informing you of the outcome.
- Planning the event organisation and communicating with participants.
- Sending announcements about the event where your explicit consent exists.
- Ensuring the security of the website and the registration infrastructure.
Your information is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data Security
Administrative and technical measures are taken — considering available technology and implementation costs — to prevent the unlawful processing of personal data and unauthorised access to it:
- The site and all form submissions are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS).
- Registration requests are viewed only through a password-protected administration interface accessible to authorised personnel; administrator passwords are stored in irreversibly hashed form.
- Access to data is limited to those who need it to perform their duties.
- Rate limiting and automated-submission checks are applied to form submissions to prevent misuse.
- The database is backed up regularly and backups are kept in an access-restricted environment.
Despite all measures taken, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. Should an incident affecting the security of your data occur, the notification obligations prescribed by legislation will be fulfilled.
6. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used to operate the website:
- Hosting: the server infrastructure on which the website and database run.
- E-mail delivery: sending registration notifications and informational messages.
- Map service (Google Maps): the venue map on the Contact page is displayed as a map embedded by Google. When that section becomes visible, your browser sends a request to Google and your IP address and browser information may be processed by Google in the process. The map is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
These service providers access data only to the extent necessary to deliver their service and are bound by their own privacy policies.
7. Links to Other Websites
The site may contain links to third-party websites, such as sponsor, speaker, social media and map links.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or security of those websites. Once you leave via such a link, we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of the site you visit.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, request its rectification or erasure, object to processing and withdraw your explicit consent.
All of these rights and the application procedure are explained in detail in the “Your Rights as a Data Subject” section of the Privacy Notice (KVKK).
You may send your requests to info@smi.social.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated in line with changes to our services or to legislation.
The current version is always published on this page and its effective date is stated at the top of the text. In the case of material changes, participants who have given explicit consent are informed by e-mail.
